I just came across this site and I’m having fun going through the archives. Gilan Israel has put together the quintessential site for site for Beatle fans because, as a blog, it moves and breathes with every comment.
Let’s face it, no one person knows everything there is to know about The Beatles. But with a site like this the picture gets further developed with each post and comment. The pictures, articles and news keeps the subscriber up to date with what’s going on in the “Beatle World.”
Because as cult-ish as it sounds there are a lot of people out there dedicated to keeping the phenomena around the group going. And by the looks of things, and the number of events popping up all over the world, no one is about to forget.
Categories
Galen has a few great categories but the one I like best is : Sightings. For example here are a couple of quips:
January 18th: “Last week I reported about Ringo performing in Liverpool for the city’s inauguration as European Capital of Culture 2008. Here is a photo of him and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics playing on the roof of St Georges Hall. Is it just me or do they look like twins?”
December 21st: “Paul stopped in to cheer up the children at Great Ormand Street Hospital in London on Monday. Livenews.com.au reports that he joined the children in a karaoke session singing the S Club 7 tune “Don’t Stop Movin’”
As a volunteer with The Maritime Beatle Event I go through my “Beatle Phases.” This is when I get a bug about something the band did or played and I go routing through the web for it. Galen’s site makes this search a lot easier and more fun.
Good work pal and don’t forget the”B” sides!
